ESAG Members attend Dedication of new Chapel of Annunciation

Several members of the ESAG were invited to attend the special dedication of the newest chapel in our Archdiocese on Nov 28, 2015. The beautiful Chapel of the Annunciation, located within the St John Paul II Pastoral Centre, lit up with joy and glory in the simple ceremony attended by some 80 guests, that included the blessing of the altar and consecration of the space by Archbishop Miller.

Archibishop J Michael Miller, CBS, sprinkled holy water on the chapel walls and guests at the special dedication mass held in the chapel during the two hour ceremony.

The Chapel of the Annunciation was named by Archibishop Miller "to recall Mary's place in the dawn of the saving mystery of the Incarnation". Patricia Ballard's lovely gilded painting of The Annunciation, based on a famous painting in Assisi, graces the entryway of the chapel.

The elegantly finished chapel was filled with light flowing in from alabastar windows and stained glass windows installed by ESAG members John and Laura Gilroy, that included a window with the Holy Spirit just above the grand marble altar. 22K Gold gilded arches in the chapel were finished by Ana Maria Diaz, also of ESAG.

ESAG Members Frank C Turner, Patricia Ballard, Laura and John Gilroy, Christine Lim-Labossiere, Ana Maria Diaz and her husband were invited to a little reception at the Centre hall after the dedication, to celebrate this special occasion.
